Texas
Cindi

Meet Cindi, a very 11-12 year old, 4 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO CINDI'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Sandy Pagnotta

Initial Bio 4/2/24: Please meet precious Cindi. Cindi, lovingly named from "Cinderella", is a mere 4lbs and 11-12 yrs of age. She was found by a wonderful lady who searched for weeks for her owner. Sadly, this was all a dead-end as Cindi's microchip was never registered, and no one ever answered the ads in the Lost and Found or area shelters. Luckily though she will get her Cinderella as the finder reached out to our rescue.

Cindi came to us as a hot mess. She was severely matted and her eyes were in such a horrible condition with ulcers on both eyes and a condition called dry eye. Not to mention, Cindi's skin and coat were so dirty and her nails that were painfully long. Although she has spent the better part of a week at the vet getting treatment for her eyes, she is otherwise very healthy and her blood work looks great. She will revisit the vet this week for a follow up with her eyes and has an appointment already setup for a spa day! She did receive a medicated bath and luckily, the vet was able to cut away most of her matting without losing all of her coat. The staff said she loves to snuggle and give kisses and I can assure you she is all full of love!

As you can see with her prior hot mess of a coat, she will just be so gorgeous with that coat!! Cindi is now in the arms of her loving foster momma and dad and is absolutely just as sweet as they come. If you think you could offer Cindi the furever home this little Cinderella deserves, please complete the application below. Feel free to email foster for any info you might need at stickhors@gmail.com.

To date we've spent $1159.04 on Cindi's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $25 in donations.

Meet precious Cocoa, a 6 -1/2 pound, estimated 10 year old Yorkie girl being fostered in Laguna Hills, CA. Only southern CA applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO COCOA'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Cindy McKimm

Initial Bio 4/6/24: My name is Cocoa, named after the cocoa bean because of my beautiful eyes. I am a sweet little older girl, I love napping in my cozy bed and being held. I get along with my foster dog siblings, I'm not sure if I like cats yet, I haven't met one. I'm not sure about toys yet, but I walk well on a leash and I have a cute skip with my left rear leg when I get going. I went to the dogtor yesterday and I weigh 6.7lbs. I have a great appetite and I love treats. I have another appointment on April 11 for a much needed dental so my sweet yorkie kisses wont make your toes curl. I'm doing really well going potty outside and also using the potty pads inside because its been cold and rainy. More updates soon

Update 1/28/24: Hey there everybody in United Yorkie Rescue Land. Foster Mom said that I needed to update my biography and let you know what has been going on in my life. If youve read my initial biography (which is below this biography) you know that I was in pretty rough shape when UYR came to my rescue. Although UYR mostly deals with Yorkies, they just couldnt leave me behind suffering. Since being picked up all my health issues have been addressed. My eye was taken out, Ive been spayed, microchipped and have had all my shots at Austin Animal Services the first week of January.

On January 11th I moved north to McKinney to my new Foster home. January 18th, I went to see a new Dogter to get my eye stitches removed and he said that I healed up fabulously. So now its time to get serious about finding my furever home.

Let me tell you a little about what my Foster Pawrents have figured out about me. The Dogter in Austin thinks I am around 6 months old and that I am probably a Maltese. I am a beautiful white boy weighing in at just around 9 lbs. I get along with all the other puppers here, but I want to play more than they do. Luckily I can also play by myself with my toys. I like to move my toys around and wrestle with the doggie beds here. I am not totally housetrained but am working on that every day. I love food so much but maybe that could be because I was on my own for a while. I enjoy exploring the back yard with my sniffer. I also will bark when I see someone walk by the front window and at strange noises I do not recognize. I have free range of my foster home and they let me sleep wherever I want to. I like to test out all the doggie beds, just like Goldilocks but I usually end up sleeping close to my foster hoomans. I am all puppy so I would like a stay at home Pawrent especially since I am so young and will need continued training. Because I am such a little guy if you have children they need to be at least 12 years old and know how to behave towards puppies. A secure fenced yard would be a bonus but absolutely NO CHAIN LINK FENCES only because of the terrible predators Texas has and some of those creatures can climb chain link fences. My foster hoomans are still learning about me so more details about me and my personality will be in my next bio.

So this is what I am searching for so far but that may change in the future.

A stay at home parent to continue with my potty training and other training cuz I am pretty smart and bet I will learn tricks and commands easily.

No kids under 12.

Secure fenced yard is a bonus.

No chain link fences.

If you have a fur dog about my size I would like that but it is not a deal breaker.

No apartments please as I am a barker at this time.

Lots of toys.

Comfy beds and your bed would be my first choice.

An abundance of love.

Some healthy tasty food and I love dry kibble.

Great yummy treats especially training treats.

I am not a fan of crates.

I am not a big kisser.

I will become a Velcro buddy.

So if you think you can satisfy my needs and wants please submit an application for me and there is a direct link below to do that. If you have any questions you can reach my FM at stickhors@gmail.com with them.

United Yorkie Rescue helps so many littles and we count on our family, friends and Facebook buddies for contributions to help us help others that need our help (like me). If you find it in your heart and budget to help us out there is a PayPal link below for donations. You can always share my story with your friends too if you are unable to donate as the more shares I get there might be someone who can help us. Every donation helps one of our rescued littles and UYR will always step up to help as many as they can.

Initial Bio 1/9/24: Cotton is a 6 month old male Maltese that weighs 8 lbs. Cotton was brought into the Austin animal shelter last week as a stray in horrible condition. He was severely matted, covered in his own feces and urine, infested with fleas, with his left eye ruptured, protruding and bleeding. He was also dehydrated and very thin. Even though Cotton is not a Yorkie, when UYR Texas team members saw his pitiful photo on the shelter's daily intake list we contacted the shelter to see if we could help him. While at the shelter Cotton underwent surgery to have his ruptured eye removed and he was neutered at the same time, they also relieved him of most of his matted fur and all of those awful fleas. United Yorkie Rescue was there to pick him up as soon as he was approved to be released from the shelter and we took him straight to our vets office to be checked out. He is up to date on all shots and surprisingly appears to be in overall good health. Cotton is still in the process of healing from his eye surgery and we are still getting to know him, however we do know that he is a sweet little guy that is full of life and has lots of energy. He loves to play with toys and his temporary fosters believe that he would really enjoy having another younger energetic dog to play with.

Please stay tuned for updates as we get to know this sweet little guy better.

To date we've spent $510 on Cotton's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $1007 in donations.
Please donate!

Updated Bio 2/22/24

Elliot is a very chill guy and enjoys spending his days lounging around and being petted. He loves to sleep with foster mom as well. He is a wonderful dog and very well behaved and super smart. Elliot is diagnosed with being on the verge of Cushings Disease which can be managed with medication. As of right now he DOES NOT-have it but all signs of aging is leaning towards this disease. He does have a thyroid issue which is being managed with medication twice a day and he is taking a medication for his gallbladder. He takes his medication easily with food and both medications are affordable. Elliot did have a small turmor removed that was discovered at his last checkup It was an apocrine sweat gland cyst, which is a benign, non-cancerous lesion. It was completely excised, so he should not have one recur at that spot but it is possible for him to develop others in other areas so we need to make sure we continue to monitor. His bloodwork looked good at this visit. Elliot is a beautiful doggie with lots of love and life to give who truly deserves a home of his own. He is not much for going on walks but will go potty outside in a fenced yard and will also use wee wee pads in the house. He does drink lots of water and he will wear a belly band. Elliot would make someone a great companion he just needs some continued medical care to life his best life. Please fill out an application for this sweetheart if your interested or donate to his care by clicking the PayPal Button underneath his bio. Any questions email Foster Mom at mandymsmith1@yahoo.com

Updated Bio 8/30/23: Hi there yall! Im Elliott and I sure am happy to meet you! I feel like a very lucky guy to have found my way into United Yorkie Rescue. I haven't had this much love, care, and special attention since...well FOREVER! I've only been in my new foster home a short time but Ive been really getting around. I've had lots of time with my Dogtors and they are working really hard to get me figured out.

Here's what we know:

My thyroid hormones are low which is probably one of the reasons I'm a little on the chubby side. Low thyroid is very common in terriers once they get to be adults. The great news with hypothyroidism (fancy word for low thyroid hormones) is that it is very easily managed with a daily pill that is inexpensive and easily given.

I have a few not so great teeth and lots of tartar. I realize this may also cause me to not be very kissable and that is NOT ACCEPTABLE because I love to GIVE AND RECEIVE kisses. However, the Dogtor has ASSURED ME that after my dental all will be well and I will be able to claim my title of CANINE KISSING CHAMP. What a relief!

Here's What We Aren't Yet Sure About

I have some lab values that are mildly out of range. One lab draw showed elevated potassium but in a follow-up test it was normal. I had some mildly elevated liver enzymes, some elevated proteins and this made my care team give me a test for Cushing's Disease but those test results were mostly normal. So then I had an ultrasound of my abdomen which showed that I do have some enlargement of my liver, adrenal glands and gall bladder. My gall bladder is sludgy but I'm taking medicine to help with that too and if I do have stones the medicine should help them dissolve. I had some protein in my urine but that can also be caused by things like dehydration and infection so my Dogtors did additional tests that we dont have results for yet.

So for now my medical team recommends follow-up testing with my primary Vet to monitor me. It is PAWSIBLE I might develop Cushing's Disease in the future but as of now they don't feel tests show I have it and they do not recommend any type of treatment for it.

My plan for the future is to sit back, relax, soak up ALL THE LOVE in my foster home, let my Dogtors come up with my PAWFECT treatment plan and DARE TO DREAM ABOUT THAT AMAZING PERFECT PERSON who might be looking at my photo and reading my story and just knowing that I AM THEIR PERFECT FUREVER BOY!

Updated Bio 8/21/23

Elliot was going to have a dental on the 18th but his bloodwork showed some values were off and the vet didnt want to put him under anesthesia. They have tested him for Addisons Disease and Cushings disease but nothing is confirming to either one of those. So tomorrow he is having X-rays done to see if something may show there and if we cant find anything he will see a specialist so we can get to the bottom with what is the cause of his electrolytes being off. His thyroid is doing well on the medication so that is a plus and he has lost almost a pound which is great news as he is overweight and needs to work on losing a few pounds. We hope to get to the bottom of everything soon so Elliot can have his much needed dental and find a home of his own very soon.

Updated Bio 8/2/23 Hello my name is Elliot. I am looking for a new home because my family wasnt able to care for me anymore. I just turned 10 and I am a bit sad that I dont have a home of my own right now. United Yorkie Rescue has given me a place to stay and Foster mom seems pretty cool I guess. I had to go to the Dogtor for a checkup and they gave me some shots and weighed me and did some bloodwork. Turns out I am a bit overweight I need to lose about 4-5 pounds. They also discovered from my bloodwork that I have a thyroid issue and need to take medication once a day. Its fairly inexpensive and it will help me lose weight and to feel better. When I go on the 18th to get my teeth cleaned they will recheck to see how Im doing after being on the medication a few weeks. I hope a family will still want to adopt me even though I have this issue because I really am a great guy with lots of love to give. I get along well with others and Im not hyper. I promise if you take a chance on loving me I will be the bestest boy ever and give you lots of love. Please email Foster Mom with any questions or fill out an application. I cant wait to meet you!

Initial Bio 7/23/23 Elliot was surrendered along with his brother Bentley by a family who could no longer care for them. Stay tuned as we get to know him better for updates.

Ena

Sweet Girl
Florida
Ena

Ena is 5 years old and 3lbs. She is being fostered in Stuart FL. Out of state applications will not be accepted.

THANK YOU TO ENA'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Sandra Brentlinger, Wendy Fuhrmaneck, Wendy Fuhrmaneck, Yvonne Meneghin, Cindy McKimm, Lois Forehand, Veronica Gonzales, Yigit Gergin, Nestor Sanchez, Melanie Newton, Dan Clauser, Alex LeBlanc, Terrence Wesolek, Don O'Brien, Barbara Burgess, Ellen Chokreff, Elba Short, Diane Marvin, Patricia Brown

THANK YOU TO ENA'S FACEBOOK DONORS!

Karry Rogers, Ula Fronczyk, Robin Nyberg

Updated bio 4/10/24: We are so happy to report that Ena is making great progress! She was seen by a skin specialist yesterday who determined that little Ena has environmental skin allergies. Our regular vet previously ruled out thyroid and Cushings disease. Her allergies have caused hair loss, bacterial infection, and inflamed skin. After a change in her environment over a month ago, Ena began to feel better, displaying much less scratching and paw-licking. We have even seen significant hair growth on her back, all the way down to her tiny tail!

Ena is now being treated with an inexpensive drug called Atopica that she will receive once a day in her food. We are going to monitor her to make sure she tolerates it well. She also received a second Convenia injection to treat the bacterial infection. It is likely she will not need additional injections. Her treatment includes weekly baths with a prescription shampoo. It smells really nice and Ena feels so good afterwards!

Ena will do best in a home where there is not too much excitement. She is still somewhat timid in nature but judging from her play behavior, we think over time she will become more trusting and less timid.

Many positive changes have occurred since Ena came into the UYR family: She is eating a healthy gravy-based food that she loves, her hydration and urination are now normal, her skin temperature is normalizing, and she smells so much better! She is walking on a leash and making progress with her potty manners. She is a playful, happy girl waiting for a new family that will revel in her progress and patiently help her continue on the path to wellness. We would love to see Ena in a home where there is an awareness about allergens, and where she will have hours of human companionship every day. Also, a big plus for Ena would be to have a little buddy as she loves other small dogs, male or female.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Enas donors, and to everyone following her story. We are certain she is going to have a wonderful life!

Updated bio 3/22/24:

Hey everyone, guess what I had my dental. I only lost 8 teeth. Foster Mommy has been giving me soft food and I love love love it. Im hoping that she lets me eat this forever. I love my foster brother. He makes me feel so brave when we go outside for a walk. Foster mom likes to dress me up. See the pretty necklace she gave me. She tells me all the time how beautiful I am.

My Cushing tests have come back negative. But we still dont know whats wrong!

Updated Bio 3/12/24: Hi everybody, Im hanging out in my foster moms house. Its great here. She dresses me in pretty clothes to help keep my naked body warm. Can you believe someone thought I was a Chinese crested? Nope, Im pure Yorkie. Just have this pesky skin issue. My blood work looked pretty good - no thyroid issues. Good enough to have a dental. But darn it all we still dont know the problem. So its more tests for me. Can you spare a little dollars to help me with more tests? Thanks Yorkie kisses Ena!

Initial Bio 3/3/24: Ena has joined the UYR family today. Her whole life has changed. Her dad died and her mom couldnt afford to find out what was wrong with her. Ena hasnt been to a vet in over 2 years. A good friend posted her story on Facebook and UYR was able to help Ena out. Stay with us as we start the journey to return Ena to good health. If you would like to be a part of her new life, donations would be appreciated.

Honey
Texas
Honey TX

Meet Honey, a totally precious 2 year old, 15 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Azle, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO HONEY'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Saskia Bushko

Initial Bio 2/24/24: Meet sweet, sweet Honey who was given a second chance at life. Honey is a larger, 2 year old, 15 pound, healthy Yorkie mix. She was surrendered by her family to a local shelter, pregnant. She had a skirmish with another dog and a human stuck their hand in the middle of the skirmish and was bitten. Honey was placed in quarantine for 10 days, alone, sleeping on a concrete floor, at the shelter. Her pregnancy was terminated and she was spayed. UYR received a call from the shelter asking if we could take her otherwise she would be euthanized that evening. UYR agreed to take her and we are getting to know her.

Honey is very sweet and loves humans. Her foster discovered she is house and pee pad trained and crate trained. She is learning the sit command and since she is young, she is learning manners! She seems to get along with female dogs in the house but has not yet adjusted to the large male dog in the house. Her foster mom thinks with some more time and decompression, she will adjust.

She loves to chase balls in the yard. She is learning to play with the other dogs and is getting the hang of it! She is a huge cuddler and just loves to be next to her human for lots of loving. She will be a wonderful, loyal, companion for the right family. She still has a little bit of learning that needs to happen as with all young dogs but she is a gem of a girl!

If you are interested, please fill out an application on www.uyr.us or email foster mom with questions.

Marley
Texas
Marley aka Chase TX

Meet Marley, aka Chase, a sweet little 11 pound, 8-10 year old Yorkie boy being fostered in Grapevine, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO MARLEY'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Sandy Pagnotta, Carol Gostomski, Veronica Gonzales

Update 4/14/24: Marley has continued to recover from his banishment to the pasture with an angry bull. After an additional visit to the vet, with a follow-up to the Neurologist for balance and mobility issues. But not to worry! The neurologist has found no life threatening issues, but will be prescribing him some prednisone to help with inflammation; this might alleviate some of his balance & mobility issues(he is a lil shaky at times when moving, and his balance is a little off). Marley has also been discovered to most likely be a lil older than than the initial assessment. He is most likely between 8-10 years old.

Marley continues to be a great foster pup, and is just enamored with Foster mommy. He is a very cuddly guy, and despite his balance issues, he always greets Foster Mommy at the door, and excitedly grabs a toy for her to play with him. So far this is the only time he plays, as he just can't contain his excitement after being apart from his person, that he has to grab something squeaky to show off his love. He might have some minor mobility issues, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming a certified Park Puppy. He loves to go the Park; but he also likes the trip there, as he gets to flex on the other Pups that don't get a sweet stroller to ride to the park in like Marley; they see him rolling; but they ain't hating, because he is a very friendly lil guy so far with the pups around his size. However he is a little bit apprehensive around the big boys!

Initial Bio 3/27/24: Hello Y'all! Meet Marley! He is the best lil cowboy puppy you will ever meet! Marley was found abandoned in a pasture in rural West Texas. Apparently he found himself sharing the pasture he entered with a resident Longhorn bull that was not too happy!! Luckily, he only had some bruising on his front paw and hind leg but no breaks. Marley was out there for some time since he was such a hot mess when he was brought in. He was full of matts and had a fiery skin infection. With the love of this foster, and the vet, he has begun his new life!.This baby is such a good little boy, and needs reassurances on it. After all, someone callously dropped him off in the middle of nowhere. He is accepting this good life and it's amazing to see how in a short few days how things are looking up and he seems to sense that!

Despite this horrible thing, he has not lost his positive outlook. He is sniffing out adventures with Foster Mommy, and providing snuggles & wags on demand. Marley is up to date with all his vaccinations, and currently on some medication for some dry eye and his skin infection from the elements. Marley also just got back from the Dog Spa today, and has an appointment with the Doggo Dentist in April.

Marley is a 4 year old, 11 lb Yorkie with a heart of solid gold. Foster Mommy has certified him as Couch Cuddle Specialist, and he takes his duty seriously. He may be small in size, but is a giant on love. He is very well mannered and gets along with other pups his size, and is housebroken. Please watch out for more to come as we get to know this lil bundle of love better! If you have any questions about this lil guy, or want information on his adoption, please reach out to Foster Mommy at yorkierescuetexas@yahoo.com and fill our your application at www.uyr.us.

To date we've spent $1070.52 on Marley aka Chase TX's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $80 in donations.

First off I went to the dogter to get all checked out. So I got a full hysterectomy and a dental. I only lost one toof. I am all healthy and up to date on everything. We did discover that I am hard of hearing so I need to be approached gently. FM usually shows her hand in front of my face very slowly to let me know that she's coming to pet me. I also am a bit head shy, actually very head shy. Makes my FM think that my past was not too pleasant and that I may have been abused by being knocked around on the head. I sure wish I could talk people-talk so I could tell them what my past life was like.

So I am pawsitivly ready to find my furever furmily. I have my very own microchip in case I ever get lost. I've had all my shots. Ouch. And I had my mouth looked at too. I tested heartworm negative so now I am on Nexguard and Heartguard every month. My fecal showed no crazy wormy things in it. So I am good to go home with you.

I may be a mature girl, but I do like to play with my foster brother Cotton and act all puppyish. Sometimes he starts it but sometimes I start it. I am almost all potty trained. I let foster mom know when I got to go out by standing right in front of her and barking at her and I bark and bark and bark until I get to go out, but I usually do my business right off the bat. Sometimes I do make a boo-boo, but not too often. FM says I'm an easy girl to wash at home. I do get a little squirmy at the groomers.

It took me a while to finally relax here and I am still learning that I am safe. I just recently started to snuggle up to foster mom. I like to give her body bumps and rubs. At night time I become a sloth, and I slowly sneak my way up to her, and I lay down right next to her and sleep with her on the big person's bed. I really like that.

This is what I'd like to have for my furever home.

*Stay at home pawrents or work from home pawrents.

*A secure fenced in yard would be nice, but not a dealbreaker. NO CHAIN LINK FENCES.

*If you have another dog that would be pawsome but not truly necessary.

*No young children, because I am still very skittish.

*Apartment living would not be good for me because I do bark and my bark is very deep.

*Toys are not necessary because I'd rather play with you and love on you as I want to become your very own Velcro dog.

*Lots of good good tasty food lots of wonderful yummy treats. I haven't turned down a treat yet.

*I'd love to sleep with you in your bed but I can also sleep on the couch in the doggie bed but would love to keep you warm especially in the wintertime.

*I walk nicely on a leash. Actually foster mom says I have a very sassy walk.

So if you think you have the most pawfect pawsome home you will find a direct link for my very own application at the end of my biography. Please make sure you read the instructions on how to fill that out.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to my foster mom(she sometimes calls herself Fake Mom) cuz she know my real Mom is out there somewhere just waiting for me. Her email addy is

stickhors@gmail.com

That's all for now.

Missy signing off

PS FM calls me Miss Kissy Missy if that gives you a clue as to what I love to do the most.

Initial Bio 1/8/24: Hello to all my new friends and family in the wonderful world of United Yorkie Rescue. I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Missy and I am the one of the newer kids on the block. I just got here to Foster Mom's house at 2:00 PM on January 8th, 2024 and this is my Freedom Ride photo going to my new happy place.

Stay tuned while we all get to know each other. I will be updating my biography in just a few days with much more information about me...BUT FM can already tell that I am a sweetheart, a kissy girl and probably a Velcro Pupper. She has been calling me Miss Missy because she believes that I am a Princess in disguise. She also calls me M & M because I am sweet as candy.

Talk to you very soon and better pictures promised!

Mocha
Texas
Mocha

Meet Mocha, a sweet 2 year old, 11 pound Yorkie mix girl being fostered in Cedar Park, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO MOCHA'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Sandy Pagnotta, Pam Roberts

Update 4/4/24: Happy Spring from Mocha! I'm enjoying the beautiful Spring weather of Texas Hill Country and having great times watching the butterflies and smelling all of the fresh new outdoor smells. I have a carefree and loving personality and I am told that I am a soulful little gal. The thing I like best in the whole world? Its to be in the lap of my person. I put the V in the term Velcro dog. I must warn you: I come with my own set of rules like: you will never go to the bathroom alone for the rest of your life and you will never walk from one room to another without me by your side.

I am a Yorkie mix and I'm in the 2nd month of a four month-long treatment plan to address heartworms. The vet says I'm otherwise in good health and I am working on my social skills and manners with my foster mom every day. I am protective of my family and my furever home needs to be a quiet and calm environment without children. I will do best as an only dog or with two or more other small dogs where I can settle into the pack. I am a smart young dog of school age and so I need reinforcement and instructions incorporated in my daily life. I really want to please my family, that's one way that I show my love!

I like to play with my toys every day and I will scramble after them when you toss them but I havent got the hang of bringing them back to you yet. My adoption fee is $1,000 and if youre interested, you can visit www.uyr.us and scroll to Adoption Applications; my foster mom will contact all applicants.

Initial Bio 2/20/24: Meet Mocha, a 2 year old, 11 lb Yorkie that's all sugar and no spice. She recently had puppies, but unfortunately, none of them survived, and she found herself abandoned in a shelter shortly afterwards. But UYR couldn't let this little lady languish like that. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and has a 4 month treatment plan started already. She is now current on all vaccinations and is awaiting a spay.

If you're looking for a furry friend to brighten up your days, look no further than Mocha, the adorable Yorkie who is ready to steal your heart. She is a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, with a playful personality that will make you smile from ear to ear. This little lady is always ready for a snuggle on the couch, or a walk around the block making every moment spent with her a special one.

With her silky coat and expressive eyes, Mocha is sure to turn heads wherever she goes. Whether you're out for a walk in the park or cuddled up at home, Mocha will be by your side, ready to shower you with love and affection. She is also a proper and classy lady, she is housetrained and only pottys outside.

Meet Oliver, a handsome 9 year old, 16 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in Rhode Island. Only Rhode Island applicants will be considered.

THANK YOU TO OLIVER'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Jennifer Hamilton, Kathleen Gaertner, Lauren Satterfield, Shawn Hudson, Debra Frare, Stephanie Slack, Yvette Vangeloff, Wendy Henry, Cheryl Scrupski, Sandy Pagnotta, Dan Clauser, Wendy Henry, Cari Peckham

Update 3/24/24: Its Spring in Rhode Island, and although the weather is fickle, I enjoy being able to roam about the yard and enjoy walks in the neighborhood on really nice days.

I had a dental done and a fistula repair, unfortunately the repair did not heal properly and I have to have it repaired again in 2 weeks.

FM says Im very easy going, eating is my very favorite part of the day, and occasionally Ill steal my Foster sisters Antler for a little chew.

I get along with FMs pack; Im pretty quiet, no barking so I would do well in an apartment, however Im NOT able to go up and down stairs. Im looking for a soft bed and someone that needs a companion to come home to, oh and Im a really good listener.

Initial Bio 1-2-24: Hi, I'm Oliver. My family had to make a difficult decision to surrender me to United Yorkie Rescue, so I traveled from Maryland to Rhode Island. I'm with my Foster family and their pack. The first few days have been confusing but I get to have homemade food, treats and plenty of pats. FM says I'm so mellow and I haven't even barked one time, even when the rest of her pack bark.

I go to the Vet for a full check up and updated vaccination on 1/10/24 but this Friday I have a Spa Day. After that, well share a Glam shot of me. I'm sure I will look very handsome!

To date we've spent $1986.66 on Oliver RI's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $610 in donations.

THANK YOU TO PARKER'S FACEBOOK DONORS!

Ginny Rogers, Lori Katt, Jacqui Lawson, Diana Shoykhetbrod, Karry Rogers, Pam Bicknell Roberts, Phon Nguyen, Karry Rogers, Paula McCoy

Updated Bio 3/26/24

Parker is doing so much better since coming into rescue. His skin is all cleared up and his coat his healthy and shiny. He will still need regular medcated baths. Parker did have his dental and lost a few teeth he developed an infection of the salivary gland but has taken some antibiotics and is all healed up from that now. During the dental the Dogtor did a tear test and discovered that Parker does have dry eye syndrome and will need to be on an medication for this for life. He has been diagnosed with early Stage B2 Chronic degenerative valve disease since coming into rescue. At this stage of the disease he will be treated with a medication called pimobendan (Vetmiden). This medication has shown to slow down further progression of the disease and prolong the time until the development of congestive heart failure. Parker has no fluid buildup at this time and he has not yet gone into congestive heart failure. He will need a recheck in July with the Cardiologist. Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Parker does require a special adopter who understands his medical needs to give him the proper care he needs to live his best life. He is adoptable and has a lot of love left to give.

Updated Bio 2/22/24

Parker is doing so much better since coming into rescue. The Vet said he looks great!! His skin is all cleared up and his coat his healthy and shiny. He has been diagnosed with early Stage B2 Chronic degenerative valve disease. At this stage of the disease he will be treated with a medication called pimobendan (Vetmiden). This medication has shown to slow down further progression of the disease and prolong the time until the development of congestive heart failure. Parker has no fluid buildup at this time and he has not yet gone into congestive heart failure. He will need a recheck in 6 months with the Cardiologist. Parker will be having his Dental this week and when he is all healed from that he will be ready for adoption. Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Email foster mom with any questions at mandymsmith1@yahoo.com

Updated Bio 1/17/24

For those that dont know Parkers story. He was surrendered by his owners who said they no longer had the time to provide Parker with the special care he needed. It was disclosed that he had a skin infection but no other issues. Luckily Foster mom sees the same vet that Parker has been seeing so we have a complete vet history on Parker. In July of this year Parker was diagnosed with a heart murmur grade 1. Foster mom noticed that Parker was coughing so the dogtor did X-rays and noticed that his murmur has increased in grades from July till now. The Dogtor was concerned that Parker was going into congestive heart failure and he was referred to a cardiologist. Parker had his appointment with the cardiologist today and it went well. He had an Echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) on the Echo he had moderate leaking of his mitral valve. His left heart chambers were both mildly dilated. His right heart chambers were normal in size. His heart function was normal. It has been noted he has a grade 4/6 left apical systolic murmur. Parker has the all clear from the heart doctor to have his much needed dental. At his regular Doctor it was also noted that Parkers eyes have mature cataracts and noted iris atrophy. He does have new pigmentation on his right cornea. This can be due to an infection or the beginnings of dry eye syndrome. He has been on an eye drop medication for about 3 weeks now and improvement has been made. The skin infection is a fungal infection and he has been given oral to take for that and medicated baths. Foster mom also had to give him a haircut down to his skin so the medicated baths can work better. His skin looks so much better he is doing great! All that being said, Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his kidney care science diet food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Please consider donating to Parkers care. Since coming into United Yorkie Rescue he has improved tremendously!!! We cannot continue to do it without your kind support. Email foster mom with any questions at mandymsmith1@yahoo.com

Initial Bio 12/29/23

Parker came into rescue the Friday before Christmas. He was surrendered by his owners who said they no longer had the time to provide Parker with the special care he needs. When he was surrendered his owners said he had a skin infection which required medication and medicated baths. Parker saw the Dogtor today and a few more issues have been discovered. Luckily Foster mom sees the same vet that Parker has been seeing so we have a complete vet history on Parker. In July of this year Parker was diagnosed with a heart murmur grade 1. Foster mom noticed a cough and the Dogtor did another x-ray; it was discovered that he now has a grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur. Not only that but his heart is larger than normal and his pulmonary (lung) blood vessels appear to be enlarged and congested. The Dogtor is concerned that Parker is going into congestive heart failure. He is being referred to a cardiologist. He cannot have a much needed dental until this is done because we don't want to risk putting him under anesthesia. It was also noted that Parkers eyes have mature cataracts and noted iris atrophy. He does have new pigmentation on his right cornea. This can be due to an infection or the beginnings of dry eye syndrome. He has an eye drop medication he will be taking for 2 weeks to see if improvement is made. The skin infection is a fungal infection and he has been given more medication to take for that and will need to continue the medicated baths. He has also been given furosemide to reduce the fluid buildup on his heart. All that being said, Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Please consider donating to this little guy. It's hard enough to be giving up by the only family you have known right before Christmas at 12 years of age. Let's help this sweet boy get well and feel better with the best of care that United Yorkie Rescue can provide. We cannot continue to do it without your kind support. I'm Handsome!
Florida
Rudy

Rudy is a 7 year old 12 pound yorkie boy who is being fostered near Riverview, Florida. No out of state applications will be considered.

THANK YOU TO RUDY'S RESCUE ANGELS!

Diane Marvin, Wendy Fuhrmaneck, DeAnn Deutsch, Nestor Sanchez

Bio update 3/17/24: Rudy is a 7 year old Yorkie weighing 12 pounds. The vet rechecked his bloodwork and unfortunately his kidney values did not improve as much as we hoped they would. While he continues getting a shot of fluids once a week and staying on a renal diet, the vet will recheck his bloodwork again the beginning of May. Once stabilized, he will need a dental.

Rudy has been doing really well with his potty training and his barking. He only occasionally has accidents inside. He loves to cuddle up in his foster mom's lap while she is working. While he loves being a lap dog, he also likes to play with hard toys. He loves being outside and going on walks, but beware he does walk fast.

Rudy still has a lot of love to give and will always make you smile! He will even smile back at you when he is excited! He is not mischievous, and he is really a great family dog.

Bio Update 2/15/24: Rudy is such a sweetheart! He barks a lot, but his foster mom is working with him on it. He is 13 pounds and still needs to lose a pound or 2. He loves going on walks, but he is a fast walker. He is a sock stealer and likes hard teething bones. He is getting more and more playful as he gets more comfortable in his foster home. He thinks he is a tiny lapdog and follows his foster mom everywhere. He doesn't seem to care about other animals, but he is used to being the only dog in his previous home. He does not like sharing the attention with his foster brother. He does well with kids.

Rudy's bloodwork came back and he has very high BUN & Creatine levels. He has been placed on subcutaneous fluids once a week for 4 weeks and is now on a prescription renal diet. This does explain his constant accidents inside. His foster mom has been using belly bands, and he has been doing better with going potty outside. He hasn't been able to have his dental yet. Per the vet, his labs need to be more stabilized first. He will need a dental before he is ready for adoption.

Requirements for his forever home:

Fenced in backyard, someone who is home with him most of the time - retired or work from home, someone who can keep up with his fast walking (he is a man on a mission when walking and loves exploring outside), and a home with no other dogs.

Updated Bio: 2/4/24: Rudy is a 7 year old, 13 pound yorkie whose owner passed away recently. He loves going on walks and is always on his foster family's laps or laying in a nearby dog bed. He doesn't know how to play with toys or go up steps. He can be yappy at times and tends to bark at his reflection in the mirror. Rudy is not 100% potty trained, but his foster mom is working with him on it.

Rudy would do best in a home where he is the only dog and at least one family member is retired or works from home. He loves to run around, and his forever home needs to have a fenced in backyard or be an active family who will frequently take him on long walks. He does well around kids 10 and up. Rudy is not ready for adoption due to needing a dental and is awaiting bloodwork results from his vet check.

Initial Bio 01/28/2024: Meet sweet Rudy. He has just come into rescue after his parents were not able to care for him. We can not wait to see his personality when he gets all the settled into his new foster home. Stay tuned for updates!

To date we've spent $1669.39 on Rudy's vet bills, but with your support we've collected $493 in donations.

Sidney

Meet Sidney, a handsome 3 year old, 5 pound Parti Yorkie being fostered in McKinner, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.

Initial Bio 4/18/24: Howdy, United Yorkie Rescue family, friends and social media buddies.

I am brand new to UYR today April 18, 2024. I was just picked up so I am decompressing at Stickhorse Ranch.

I am what they call a Parti Yorkie. They say I'm about three years old and I weigh a whopping 5 pounds but when we go see the doctor, we will ask him what he thinks. Just so you know, I was used as a breeder boy because I am so handsome.

As you can see by my picture I'm a hairy little guy it's gonna take a little while to get all my knots and tangles combed out. So if you think I'm cute now wait till I get all groomed. I'm just gonna be cute as a button.

I will be seeing Foster Mom's favorite dogter as soon as possible for my neuter, check my teeth, check my ears, yada yada yada, and get a check up.

So stay tuned for my next update

See ya,

Sydny.

PS: Just wait until I go to the Salon and get even handsomer.

3/5/24 Update: Tilly and her brother Wolfie (a bonded pair) have been thriving in their foster home as they are patiently waiting for their new forever family to find them. Their foster parents say that they are two of the best dogs they have ever met and that whoever ends up adopting them will be VERY lucky. Tilly is as sweet as they come and has never met a stranger. She greets anyone she meets with lots of love and if given the chance lots of kisses. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster family and they say that she is an expert snuggler. If you are looking for a lap dog or cuddle buddy, Tilly is your girl. Tilly & Wolfie have been on several road trips with their fosters and they were also great travel companions.

2/3/24 Update: Tilly has completely healed from her extensive dental surgery and wow what a difference it has made in her life. Her fosters say that they can tell that she feels so much better now that her mouth is no longer in pain. Tilly's fosters say that she is very energetic, full of spunk, and LOVES to give kisses. Tilly appears to have appointed herself the role of house Mom of her foster home as she carefully watches over the other dogs in the home making sure everyone is ok at all times. Of course Tilly and her brother Wolfie share a very special bond and are never too far away from each other, and are always looking out for one another. It's very heartwarming to witness. 12/27/3 Initial Bio: Muttilda, aka Tilly, recently came into the care of UYR with her fur-brother Wolfgang, aka Wolfie under very sad circumstances. Tilly and Wolfie had a wonderful owner that loved and cared for them for over ten years. Unfortunately, their owner became unable to take care of her beloved fur-babies due to health issues. Family members contacted UYR for help with finding Tilly and Wolfie a new loving forever home. Tilly and Wolfie are a bonded pair that have been together for the past ten years and therefore will need to remain together.

Tilly is spayed and is up to date on all of her shots. However, she is in dire need of a dental cleaning and tooth extraction. She has a history of a having a heart murmur and when x-rayed by UYRs vet she had a slightly enlarged heart. After careful evaluation and consideration UYRs vet is confident that Tilly is healthy enough for dental surgery which will greatly improve her quality of life as her mouth is painfully infected. Tilly was given an antibiotic shot to help with the mouth infection and is scheduled for the much-needed dental cleaning.

Tillys foster parents say that she has been a perfect house guest so far, she is housetrained, well mannered, sweet, and just a joy to have around. She wants to be next to you at all times, loves to be pet, loves belly rubs, and may cry just a little if you stop petting her too soon. Tilly also loves to go on walks with her brother Wolfie.

So, if you happen to be looking for two fun loving, easy going, laid back, super sweet dogs that love everyone they meet, look no further than Wolfie and Tilly.

Hello and Happy New Year UYR Friends and Family. It is our pleasure to introduce you to Wolfgang aka Wolfie. Wolfie is a male yorkie that is estimated to be 12 years young and weighs 14.5 lbs. As you can see from his photos, Wolfie is a very handsome little fellow with classic yorkie good looks aka a heartbreaker. Wolfie recently came into the care of UYR with his fur-sister Muttilda aka Tilly under very sad circumstances. Wolfie and Tilly had a wonderful owner that loved and cared for them for over ten years. Unfortunately, their owner became unable to take care of her beloved fur-babies due to health issues. Family members contacted UYR for help with finding Wolfie and Tilly a new loving forever home. Wolfie and Tilly are a bonded pair that have been together for the past ten years and therefore will need to remain together.

Wolfie is neutered and up to date on all shots and is scheduled for a dental cleaning. He will also have a bump removed from his right shoulder during the dental surgery.

Wolfie has been a perfect house guest at his foster home so far, he is potty trained, very calm, very sweet, and just an overall good boy. He likes to play with toys and loves to go for walks. He also enjoys exploring the backyard and laying in the sun when the weather is just right.

So if you happen to be looking for two fun loving, easy going, laid back, super sweet dogs that love everyone they meet, look no further than Wolfie and Tilly.
